Privacy policy

Status 01/2024

This Privacy Policy informs you about how minimono (hereinafter also referred to collectively as "we") handles your personal data (hereinafter also referred to as "your data"). We attach great importance to protecting the personal rights of the users (hereinafter referred to as "users") of our products, comply with the applicable data protection regulations and take the necessary measures to protect your data.

Third-party websites that can be accessed via our website are not subject to the data protection regulations set out here. We assume no responsibility or liability for compliance with data protection by third-party websites.

Data processing and purposes of use

"Personal data" are all details and information relating to a specific or identifiable person. This includes, for example, contact details such as name, telephone number, address or e-mail address as well as other details provided in the context of an order or when participating in competitions or surveys and the like. Any handling of personal data, in particular the collection, storage, administration, use, transmission, disclosure or deletion of your data, is considered "processing". Your data will only be used for the respective purposes communicated to you in this privacy policy. We take the necessary measures to protect your personal data from loss, theft and misuse. In the following, we will inform you about the cases in which we collect data about you, what data we process from you, for what purposes we use it and to whom it may be passed on. We also explain what rights you have in relation to your data and how you can assert them.

As part of the ordering process, a review and participation in a competition or prize draw, we collect personal data from you, such as your first and last name, address, email address, payment details and any other data such as telephone numbers or date of birth, as well as any data voluntarily entered by the user. Your data may also be enriched with data acquired from third parties.

We use this data to process the contractual relationship entered into, to send newsletters and to notify and/or publish the winners of competitions and prize draws. As a basis for access to online products, data on individual user behavior is also collected and evaluated in order to improve our products. Your data is also used for customer care, for marketing purposes (including for customer recovery) and for advertising tailored to you and for the needs-based design of the same (e.g. pop-ups).

The online transmission of personal data between the user's browser and minimono's servers is encrypted using the HTTPS protocol. In order to enable the functionality of this encryption technology, the user is obliged to use the latest versions of the current browsers.

When you visit our website, we and third parties collect, store and use data from both registered and unregistered users that is collected using so-called "cookies" and similar technologies. These are text files that are stored on the user's system and enable the use of the products to be analyzed. This technology makes it possible to recognize individual users as (returning) visitors and to offer them individualized services and products. In general, the use of cookies serves to improve our services and make them more effective and secure. Such cookies may also be required, for example, to use shopping baskets or payment functions. Users of our websites can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting "Do not accept cookies" in their browser settings. However, this may hinder the functionality of the products and make it more difficult for users to optimize the online services. The use of our digital services is also measured and evaluated using various technical systems, mainly from third-party providers. These measurements can be both anonymous and personalized.

The aforementioned technologies are collected in particular to analyze the surfing behavior of users and to measure reach. Reach measurement can be used to determine how many people can be reached with an advertiser's advertising. The information collected with such technologies can also be used for marketing purposes, to improve the products and the websites, to evaluate user behavior, to deliver advertising formats tailored to the target group and to design them in line with requirements (e.g. by means of pop-ups).

We do not pass on personal data to third parties unless this is required by law or ordered by a court decision. This does not include disclosure to third parties

a) for the legal protection of users;

b) to fulfill legal requirements;

c) for the defense and protection of our rights;

d) to comply with the terms of use or the data protection provisions;

e) to rectify technical difficulties with the products;

f) for cooperation with service partners who require the transmission of data for order or order processing. The transfer of data is limited to the minimum necessary for the fulfillment of the order. Credit card data is forwarded to the relevant credit card organization, particularly in connection with the execution of contracts for chargeable products.

g) to cooperate with service partners who support us in particular in the area of marketing, for the analysis of certain technical data and for data processing and/or storage functions.

We work with a limited number of trusted external service partners who have been carefully selected by us and meet high data protection and security standards. Data is only disclosed to the service partners to the extent necessary for the provision of the services offered.

In the event of a sale, merger or other reorganization of some or all of our company's assets, personal information may be transferred, assigned, sold or otherwise shared with third parties as part of that transaction or reorganization.

If necessary and appropriate for the data processing described in this Privacy Policy, we may also transfer your personal data to third parties abroad. If the level of data protection in the country concerned is not adequate, we will ensure that your personal data is protected to this level. We ensure this in particular by concluding EU standard contractual clauses with the companies concerned, by checking that the respective companies are certified in accordance with the Swiss-US or EU-US Privacy Shield (if the data recipient is based in the USA or stores the data there) and/or by the existence of Binding Corporate Rules (BCR) recognized by a European data protection authority at the companies concerned.

Our digital offerings are linked to third-party functions and systems in a variety of ways, for example by integrating third-party social network plug-ins, in particular Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google or Twitter, or when you visit our website on third-party websites (e.g. Facebook fan page, etc.). If you have a user account with these third parties, it may also be possible for these third parties to measure and evaluate your use of our digital offerings. Further personal data, such as IP address, personal browser settings and other parameters may be transmitted to these third parties and stored there. We have no control over the use of such personal data collected by third parties and accept no responsibility or liability.

We always process your personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.

When processing personal data for the execution of a contractual relationship, the contractual relationship serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures.

In the case of data processing that is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation, the legal obligation in question serves as the legal basis.

For further processing, we rely on our overriding interest in, for example, optimally adapting and continuously improving our offers to the needs of our customers and carrying out marketing activities in order to be able to offer you suitable products or services and to display advertisements that are relevant to you. This is an important basis for the financing and further development of our offers. To achieve these interests, the processing of personal data as described by us is necessary. However, we have taken measures to minimize the impact of data processing on our users. In particular, when we process personal data about children, we take precautionary measures to protect their interests. We have also compared our interests with the interests of our users and have come to the conclusion that our data processing does not excessively affect the interests or fundamental rights of our users and that our interests in this data processing outweigh theirs. If you have a different opinion, you have the right to object to this data processing at any time within the legally permissible framework.

In cases where we obtain consent for data processing, this is the legal basis.

We will only use and retain your data for as long as is necessary for the relevant processing purpose or for as long as there is another legal basis for doing so. We retain data that we hold on the basis of a contractual relationship with you for at least as long as the contractual relationship exists and limitation periods for possible claims by us run or statutory or contractual retention obligations exist.

Your rights

You have the right to receive information from us at any time and free of charge as to whether and which of your personal data we process. You can also request that we correct or complete incorrect data about you in our systems.

You have the right to request that we erase or restrict the processing of your personal data. Please note that even after you have requested the deletion of your personal data, we may have to retain it due to legal or contractual retention obligations (e.g. for billing purposes) and in this case only restrict or block your data if necessary. Furthermore, deletion of your data may mean that you can no longer obtain or use the services you have registered for.

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, which you can assert with us.

If applicable, you can also assert your right to data portability.

You can revoke your consent to data processing at any time, generally with effect for the future. In the event of revocation, we may no longer be able to provide you with personalized use of free and/or paid products.

If applicable, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority regarding data processing. You can do this with the supervisory authority at your place of residence, workplace or the location of the suspected data breach.

The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of data in log files is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website. Consequently, the user has no option to object.

If you wish to prevent retargeting if you visit our websites as a non-registered or non-logged-in - i.e. anonymous - user, we are unfortunately unable to make this setting, as we cannot establish a link between an anonymous user of our websites and a person registered with us. However, you can prevent such retargeting yourself by selecting "do not accept cookies" in your browser settings and thus prevent the storage of cookies required for retargeting.

If you do not want us to process any of your personal data as described above, please follow the instructions in the description of the respective data processing.

If you do not wish your personal data to be used for any marketing measures, you can send an e-mail to info@minimono.ch with the note "No marketing measures".

You can unsubscribe from a newsletter at any time via the relevant link in the newsletter itself.
